Start of cooperation with the Mil Design Bureau to develop the V-2 light helicopter (prototype for Mi-2) and the V-8A medium-load helicopter (prototype for Mi-8).

1962

Development of the GTD-350 engine and the VR-2 main gearbox for the V-2 helicopter.

1962

Sergey Izotov is appointed as chief designer of the plant.

1964

Development of the TV2-117 engine and the VR-8 main gearbox for the V-8A helicopter.

The GTD-350 engine installed on a locomotive and a hovercraft.

1966

The GTD engine installed on the HADI-7 racing car.

1969

The TV2-117 engine installed on heavy trucks (road trains) and hydrofoils.

1969

Development of the GTD-550SA engine for AN-14M and Be-30 aircraft. In the 60s the Klimov Design Bureau developed and manufactured liquid fuel jet engines for strategic missiles and surface-to-air missiles, as well as engines for spaceplanes under the Spiral project.
