The Klimov Company Training Center was set up for multidisciplinary professional training at all levels. The center develops and implements programs of cooperation with high schools, provides targeted education to students at leading engineering schools of St.Petersburg and post-graduate training for promising students at the best schools in the city.  The Centre also organizes continuous education classes for managerial staff.

In cooperation with the St.Petersburg Committee for economic development, industrial policy and trade, the Training Center organizes cultural and educational events in high-schools to attract future graduates.

Cooperation with vocation schools provides a steady flow of skulled personnel to the Klimov Company. Owing to hands-on training with the use of Klimov’s sophisticated production facilities, students may be hired as full-time workers right after graduation.

Special attention at the company is paid to the education of engineers. For many years a branch of St.Petersburg Polytechnical University at the plant, as a component of the Training Center, has been supplying 30-40 unique experts in gas turbine engineering and aircraft engines every year.

The company encourages part-time employment of students. Its leading experts are involved in lectures, workshops, seminars, lab studies, supervision of term paper and diploma projects, practical courses in research and design.

Students trained at Klimov can take advantage of classrooms, the research library, cold and hot test stands for engines and their subassemblies, the dynamic strength test laboratory, vibration test units, balancing units, stands for technological and metallurgical tests, the computer center and computer classes, the company’s museum with real exhibits.

Young staff at Klimov feature excellent engineering culture, professionalism, a creative attitude, an ability to apply new discoveries to the actual development and manufacturing of aircraft engines. AS an incentive, gifted students are sent to the best graduate schools in Russia to continue their education and conduct research for the company.

The Klimov Company also maintains professional contacts with teachers from a variety of schools, including the Moscow Aviation School, the Kazan Aviation School, Voenmekh (the Baltic School of Technology) and others.

Continuing education courses in management, marketing and foreign languages are offered to Klimov’s staff on a permanent basis to improve the skills of mid-level management and introduce new efficient management schemes.
