27.10.2009 // DESIGNER'S SUPERVISION AT STATE ENTERPRISE "GYANDZHINSKY ARP" FOUND OUT SPARE PARTS OF UNIDENTIFIED ORIGIN
From October 10th until October 24th 2009 an inspection team from JSC “Klimov” conducted a designer’s supervision inspection for overhaul of TV2-117, TV3-117 engines and main gearbox VR-8, VR-14, VR-24.
The results of the designer’s supervision inspection among other observations found out that spare parts of unidentified origin are used for overhaul of Klimov designed TV2-117, TV3-117 engines and VR-8, VR-14, VR-24 main gearboxes. Not a single spare part or bearing has originals of the required quality proving manufacturer’s documents.
