BASIC INFORMATION
The GTD-350 turboshaft engine along with the VR-2 main gearbox was developed in 1963 for the Mi-2 multi-purpose light helicopter designed by the Mil Design Bureau. The engine was mass-produced by WSK PZL (Rzeszow, Poland) till the end of the 90s.
Mi-2 was the first Soviet helicopter with a turbojet engine. Thanks to its excellent design and the outstanding performance of the power plant Mi-2 became the core of the light helicopter fleet in many countries of the world.
