Klimov — aero engines design company

No part of an engine is manufactured without the use of the latest achievements in mechanical processing.

Our lathes are capable of five-axis machining of sophisticated parts such as impellers and turbine blade manufacturing equipment.  All the operations are performed with superb accuracy using control programs based on mathematical models of the products.

Hydromechanical stamping is employed to manufacture reinforcement elements for gas turbine engines.

Electric discharge sawing and push broaching machine tools with numerical control are employed to manufacture components of turbines and compressors from heat-resistant alloys (as well as any other parts) to within 3-5 microns.  The electric discharge flow technology makes it possible to make 0.2 mcm and smaller holes in cooled blades of turbojet engines.

Milling cutters, drills, thread taps and other mechanical processing implements are manufactured and sharpened with the help of advanced numerically controlled machine tools to improve accuracy and save time.
