CENTRAL PLANT LABORATORY

The Central Plant Laboratory deals with metallurgical tests on materials, parts and assemblies of gas turbine engines. Its inventory includes state-of-the-art electronic, optical, ultrasound and other equipment for tests on a variety of products related to engine development.

The Central Laboratory includes:

• A lab for nondestructive tests on assemblies and parts
• A group of labs for chemical and physicochemical tests on materials
• A lab for mechanical tests and metallographic examinations on various materials
